The financial aid process is notoriously complicated because it sits at the chaotic intersection of federal bureaucracy, tax law, and institutional business models.
The system tries to fulfill a difficult dual mandate: preventing affluent families from exploiting loopholes while stretching limited government and university funds to cover millions of unique financial situations.
The financial aid office is not there to find reasons to give your student free money. They are looking for ways to comply with their employer’s financial policies. That’s why the rules and regulations surrounding financial aid are over 10,000 pages long!
For most families, paying for college means relying on some form of financial aid.
“Financial aid is more of a necessity now than ever,” said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review’s editor-in-chief. 98% of families said financial aid would be necessary to pay for college, and 82% said it was “extremely” or “very” necessary.
The complexity of the forms not only prevents families from getting the support they need, but it has also been shown to prevent students who are well prepared for college from ever enrolling.
This isn’t the way it’s supposed to be. That’s why Financial AID Now™ exists. We provide the roadmap that avoids the landmines and pitfalls that cause parents to overpay. Financial AID Now™ takes the family on a journey that makes college affordable.
To enroll in the Financial AID Now™ system is only $495.00. Keep in mind that at a minimum a four-year college degree starts at $120,000 and a few are now over $400,000. Here are just few examples:
Total Cost of Attendance (tuition and fees, room and board, books, supplies, personal expenses and travel costs) of colleges that exceed $100,000 for the school year of 2026-2027
Total Cost of Attendance (tuition and fees, room and board, books, supplies, personal expenses and travel costs) of colleges that exceed $90,000 for the school year of 2026-2027
The lowest cost of attendance at state universities like the University of Wyoming is $27,932, and the most expensive out-of-state public university is the University of California – Los Angeles at $84,623 per year.
Most parents will not pay full price at most private institutions. But if your income is over $250,000 per year and your assets can cover more than two months of living expenses, need-based aid will be out of the question.
